Soar!

This week has been a whirl wind.  Saturday, I went and got fitted for denim.  Has anyone ever done this? I had the best time, and I left with a pair of jeans that actually FIT!!  Worth it!  I wouldn't call myself obese (headed there if I'm not careful), but I can honestly say that I haven't been happy with my body since birth of baby #2--nearly 2 years ago.  Sigh.  Where does the time go? Anyway, I've been rocking yoga pants and t-shirts since then.  It was time for a change.  Hubs was more than willing to take me to the mall and release me to the giants if I wouldn't look at the size or price.  Confession, I looked at the price.  I couldn't bring myself to pay astronomical amounts of money for jeans no matter how good they looked!  Just couldn't do it.

Tuesday, I went to Graceland in Memphis for the first time.  I've gotta say, the King had it going on.  It took every ounce of my self control not to try to go up those stairs, but I was able to hold myself back if only to see the rest of the place!  The ceiling in the basement that was totally covered with pleated fabric was an inspiration to me.  Stunning.  Even though the colors were definitely 70s hues, I saw the beauty.  I had no idea what an Elvis fan I could be until I moved up here!  He's a very interesting guy!  His music was great, but his personal life has been fascinating to me!

Blah, blah, blah.  The real reason we're here is to see what's new this week!!  I bring to you....

These adorable Soar shorts!

These are very close to being my favorite of the season.  All the colors!  These are sure to have your head in the clouds!

I'm pretty sure that these will match almost any shirt, but why not pair it with...

This adorable applique!
I feel like a gameshow host.  This is awesome.

Once again, the Tree-hugger shorts by Brownie Goose did not disappoint!  So fly, don't walk or run, over to the shop and pick these up before they fly away!

Be sure to find me on facebook too! https://www.facebook.com/BuggAndBear?ref=hl.

Have a good one, and go try on some jeans!!!

Spring Break

I had a lot to do today.  The dishes are piling up.  I don't want to talk about the laundry.  My hubby is out of town on business.  It's Spring Break.  With two kiddos at home, the to-do list got pushed to the side by paint.  In pajamas.

I knew that I wanted to introduce a new pair of shorts in the shop today.  As sort of a challenge to myself, I'm trying to add a new item each week until I run out of fabric options.  It could be awhile...
This weeks addition is another Brownie Goose pattern!  The Tree-Hugger Shorts.  Made to live in, these little cuties hold nothing back.  The cuffs are my favorite part, I believe.  I can't take my eyes off that pocket, though.

So, tonight I can rest knowing that I have accomplished my one true goal of the day.  Tomorrow, however, watch out Barbie shoes, it's time to vacuum!

Start Afresh

Here it is.  A new blog.  I've let the other one go mainly because I can't remember the password, and I no longer have that email address.  No love lost.  I should start afresh in a new town.  I call it a town, they call it a city.  Booneville, MS is as big as it sounds!  The thing about following a husband's career is that you never know where it will take you, and I sure didn't see it taking us here!!  This is Yankee country for me being from lower Alabama.  Really, 17 miles from the Tennessee state line screams NORTH!! So do these winter temps! (not my pic, but it does the job)

Anywho, the reason I'm posting tonight is to introduce a new item to the shop.  Stop by and check these super cuties out!  I'm so proud of them!  I used the brownie goose pattern "The Henry Pants", and I'm digging every single detail!  These precious babies have everything from cuffs and pockets to buttons and suspenders!  Just what every single little boy needs!  Bear is wearing his for Easter and then every day thereafter.  Yes, I'm that mom.  Run over and give them the once over.  See if they don't steal your heart!
